After Alfred Angelo: Where to Go for Gorgeous Gowns in Knoxville, TN

(In light of the recent closing of Alfred Angelo, the final post in our Starting Something Sweet series has been temporarily postponed.)

What do you do when the bridal salon you loved suddenly closes its doors, leaving you with no dresses and an acute sensation of dread?

After Alfred Angelo abruptly closed its sixty-plus locations earlier this month, we heard the cacophony of panicked brides all throughout the Knoxville area as they scrambled to find other bridal stores from which they could order their gowns. While we of course sympathize with the anxiety these women are feeling, we assure that all hope is not lost! This week, we’ve compiled a list of amazing bridal salons, both local businesses and national chains, and online retailers who are more than equipped to help you find the wedding gowns (and, for most, bridesmaids dresses) of your dreams!

  • Wedding Wonderland. Opening its new Market Square location at the beginning of August, Wedding Wonderland is a Knoxville mainstay with collections from Enzoani, Astrid & Mercedes, and Kenneth Winston, to name a few.

  • David’s Bridal. A national chain with a location on Kingston Pike, David’s Bridal offers a variety of styles from collections by Oleg Cassini, Vera Wang, Melissa Sweet, and Galina.

  • BHLDN. Anthropologie’s bridal line, BHLDN is a primarily online retailer with dozens of styles, many of which range in sizes from 00 to 16, and a selection of gowns under $1000. Although not a Knoxville store, BHLDN is still a great option if you’re in a pinch.

Be sure to check back next week–we’ll be expanding this discussion to include bridesmaids dresses, both for purchase and rental! We’ll see you then!
