The Bride Guide: The Floral Design
How You CAN Afford a Killer Wedding Day Floral Design
“Golden 3 ft candelabras. Oh, yes. Antique Mercury Glass. Bring it. Wait… can I afford this? “
This runs through every bride-to-be’s head when wedding planning and pinning wedding flower ideas. For today’s edition of The Bride Guide, I asked Knoxville Wedding Florist, LB Floral to give some advice on allocating a wedding floral budget wisely. From “wow” centerpieces to those to-die-for vases, Lesley Britt of LB Floral offers up ways to take that bridal show inspiration and make it a wedding day reality.
From Lesley Britt:
“Bridal shows—we all love them. These shows make it possible to practically plan your wedding in one afternoon! But, bridal shows, in a word, are overwhelming. Dozens of vendors handing you fliers, feeding you cake, competing for your business. As a vendor who hosts a booth at local bridal shows, we can sometimes see the slight panic in a bride’s eyes as she walks aimlessly around the convention center.
Once the apprehension has faded, a bride can begin to put her wedding together with inspiration from many different vendors. The creative use of a birdcage may stand out to one bride, and another may see a beautiful candelabra that would look perfect at her reception… Before the gears start cranking and you make an expensive trip to Hobby Lobby, take some time to think about your potential vendors!
Many vendors including Knoxville Wedding Florist, LB Floral, have inventory available for rent. We have a variety of vases, candelabras, candleholders and ceremony pieces in many colors, including gold, black, silver, milk glass, glass and more. We also have great rustic pieces such as barn wood boxes. Brides will find themselves spending extra money and hours at the craft store. Instead, your florist may have everything you need available for rent! Not only will it be budget friendly, but after the wedding you won’t have to worry about what to do with the aisle markers and candlesticks! So before you run out to buy 25 vases for your reception tables, make sure to consult with your florist. They may have everything you need in stock—providing you with a more affordable and hassle-free wedding day!”
